Do you have a trip planned to New Orleans, but don\u2019t know where to stay?<\/p>\n

The last time we went to New Orleans we stayed at the Bourbon Orleans. They were offering a special rate on Travelzoo.com that included breakfast. Since, we choose to route through New Orleans on a military PCS, we were extremely budget conscious and I booked it solely on the price and did without doing any research. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to a luxury hotel!<\/p>\n

Yes, despite the reasonable prices, this is a luxury hotel located on Bourbon Street <\/b>with a pool. The inside has a beautiful lobby, a restaurant, a bar, and the rooms are lovely.<\/p>\n

In the middle of the hotel is an open courtyard with a salt water swimming pool<\/b>. It was an extremely hot day in June and the pool was beyond inviting. The pool area was clean and quiet. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool while I sat nearby sipping on my\u00a0complimentary cocktail from the hotel bar.<\/b><\/p>\n

As I mentioned, our rate included breakfast and it was delicious. It wasn\u2019t your typical hotel breakfast buffet, it was better. They served large portions of eggs, meats, potatoes, pastries, pancakes and anything else you may want to eat. The food in New Orleans is phenomenal and the hotel\u2019s food met my expectations of having wonderful food.<\/p>\n

Bourbon Orleans offers valet parking for a fee. They take your car over to a secured parking lot.<\/b><\/p>\n

Haunted History Hotel Tour<\/h3>\n

You take a tour of the historic Bourbon Orleans Hotel every Thursday from 7-7:30pm. Tours are given by John Fitzpatrick, concierge and licensed tour guide.<\/p>\n

Once the site of the famous Orleans Theater and formerly a school and convent of the Sisters of the Holy Family, the Bourbon Orleans Hotel has been part of New Orleans history since 1817.\u00a0 The haunted history is as rich as its past.<\/p>\n

Guests are encouraged to sign\u00a0up in advance\u00a0with the concierge or front desk prior to the start of the tour.<\/p>\n
